Los Altos de Marbella

Nature picture

This is the website of Los Altos de Marbella, or the Heights of Marbella. It is a small community of 100 houses built in the traditional Andalucian style and from a distance appears as a cluster of whitewashed houses high up on the hillside above the town of Marbella.
It is approximately five kilometres from the centre of Marbella and is a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments and duplex houses. The owners are a mix of Spanish and foreign families. Approximately 60% of the owners are non-Spanish, and around 40% of the owners live in Los Altos permanently while the majority use their houses for holidays.
The hub of the village is the swimming pool, which is busy with families during the summer months and there is a community office with permanent multi-lingual staff.
Los Altos is organised as a largely self-regulating autonomy. There is a voluntary elected board of directors headed by a President. The Board looks after the day-to-day running of the community, the upkeep of the village and its gardens and represents the owners to the authorities.
On this website can be found pages of images and information about Los Altos.
